Ascend , as an independent provider of passive telecom infrastructure, offers tower space and active electronics space to multiple operators at its owned sites. While providing CAPEX savings to operators, Ascend ’s Passive Telecom Infrastructure Leasing Service also enables reduction of OPEX costs to the operators as it includes preventive and corrective maintenance of the sites in this service.

Ascend provides roof top and green field passive telecom infrastructure in two models:

Build and Lease

In this model, Ascend enters into an agreement with the Customer who becomes the anchor tenant for the Site. Ascend will obtain search ring from the customer and acquire a site within that search ring. Post acquisition, Ascend will build the passive telecom infrastructure at the site and provide it to the Anchor Tenant for occupancy. Ascend will retain the right to share this infrastructure with other mobile operators and service providers.

From its operations, Ascend has gained rich experience in Project Management and rollout of passive telecom infrastructure for mobile service providers. Its strong vendor base includes telecom infrastructure delivery companies with proven capability.

Co-location Site Sharing

In this model, Ascend offers its existing sites to Customers for occupancy as a second or third tenant.

Ascend has designed passive telecom infrastructure capable of accommodating up to 3 telecom operators which can be further increased depending on site configuration of the operators occupying the site. All sites owned by Ascend are maintained by an experienced O&M team for routine maintenance and breakdown / corrective maintenance. In addition, activities like payment of electricity bills, diesel filling, house-keeping etc. are carried out by Ascend ’s O&M team.

This model gives the operator not only savings on CAPEX and OPEX but also provides an opportunity for the operator to reduce his time to market.
